Claiming starts the verification process. Verified listings show a badge.
1) Do I have to submit a new listing to claim it?
Nope. If your restaurant already exists on EatLocalOK, just find it and click Claim Restaurant. If it’s not listed yet, submit it first.
2) Can’t find my restaurant. What should I do?
Submit it using Submit a Restaurant. Once it’s approved and live, you can open the listing and click Claim Restaurant.
3) How long does it take for my restaurant to show up?
Most submissions are reviewed within 48 hours. We review first, then publish.
4) What does “Verified” mean?
Verified means the restaurant has claimed the listing and we confirmed they’re authorized..
5) What should I upload when I claim a listing?
A logo, a few strong photos (food/interior/exterior), plus links like menu, online ordering, reservations, and social media (if you have them).
6) Do changes publish automatically after I submit?
No. We review everything first to prevent unauthorized changes and spam.
7) How do I update or remove a listing?
Use the Contact page and send the details (restaurant name + what you want changed/removed). We’ll handle it from there.
8) How much does Verified cost?
Verified Listing (Founders)
$19.99/month For the first 25 claimed listings.
Standard Verified
$29.99/month Applies after the first 25 are claimed.
9) What do I get with Verified?
Verified listings stand out and can include premium content like a Verified badge, logo/photos, and important links (menu, ordering, reservations, etc.).
10) When will my logo/photos show up after I claim?
After review and payment, we activate Verified and publish your upgrades (logo/photos/links).
11) Can someone else claim my restaurant?
We review claims and may request verification details to help prevent unauthorized changes.
12) Can I cancel Verified later?
Yes. If you want to cancel, contact us and we’ll help you get it handled.
13) Do you allow edits like hours, menu links, or phone numbers?
Yep. Send your changes through the Contact page with the restaurant name and the updates you want.
14) Why do you review before publishing?
It protects restaurants from spam, keeps listings accurate, and helps prevent unauthorized edits.
